KOTAK BAND

Starting from the 2004 event last Dream Band, KOTAK BAND born KAHITNA founded one of his personnel, Doddy, who acted as producer. At that time, Doddy audition to form a new band in Indonesia format consisting of drummer, guitarist, bassist, and vocalist.


Auditions are enough to get a response from the teenage musician who wants to try his luck in the music industry. As many as 400 people a vocalist, bassist 170, hundreds of guitarists, drummers and hundreds crowded into the audition. After conducting auditions taking into account various assessment formats, elected two vocalists, two bassists, three guitarists and two drummers. Young musicians chosen are then mixed into two bands, namely the personnel KOTAK four people and "Five" that five personnel.


KOTAK name means four sides and four corners of the building together into a box. It describes the story of four distinct but united in a single container of music.

The band KOTAK when it's not like they are today. The box formation the band was first filled by Cella (guitar), Ices (bass), Pare (vocals), and Posan (drums). They then released their first album titled "KOTAK".


In 2007, Ices and Pare was decided to leave the band. The vacant position was replaced by Tantric on the vocal and Chua on bass. They then released his second album titled "KOTAK KEDUA" in 2009.
According to Tantri, he was awkward when I first joined the band. "The character inherent in the vocal Pare KOTAK, I was confused about the character mereruskan Pare or alone. However, after often playing with and training, I decided to wear his own character," he said.
Apparently the formation of a new band's second album is to bring success to the band box for the music industry flying in Indonesia. Not only the ring back tone (RBT), which has sold one million. Their performance is riveting in the box hit the stage to make an offer tours to various regions in Indonesia.


Not only in sales, various trophies were achieved by this band in various music awards.Gift of Music Indonesia on the 12th, they won the award for the category Solo / Duo / Best Rock Group. Their album "KOTAK KEDUA" was also rewarded the Best Rock Album award categories.
They also successfully won the category Group / Duo Best Newcomer Award version of Planet Music (APM) 2009. MTV Indonesia Awards last crowned them as the Most Favourite Artist Breakhtrought 2009.
Despite its success in current positions, personnel box hoping that it has not been the culmination of their journey. There are many dreams that they want to achieve to exist in the music industry. At least they have now passed their first jump of the dream band to real band.
And in the early months of February 2011, drummer KOTAK is POSAN TOBING decided toget out of the KOTAK BAND.
He came out to be a manager as well as a drummer in his new band the "WINNER".
